For over a decade, The Trail of Painted Ponies has artistically celebrated the inspirational power of the horse by inviting artists to think of the horse as a canvas for creative expression. Last year we expanded on this idea with the "Beauty of the Breed Series." Artists were also invited to artistically render realistic representations of a specific horse breed in a way that captured their beauty and spirit. "Painted Harmony," which gloriously depicted a mare and foal Paint Horse running together as one, was the first figurine in this series, and it quickly became one of our best-selling Ponies. Now comes the second entrée: "Don't Fence Me In," which beautifully presents the Gypsy Vanner, a breed specially developed by gypsies in Europe to pull their colorful wagons.
Every new release of Painted Pony figurines offers collectors more unique interpretations of the horse as a subject for artistic expression. What makes the Winter 2014 Trail Mix different is that we intentionally selected four designs that follow the trail of previous best-selling Painted Ponies. If you liked "Cowgirl Cadillac," you'll adore "Rhinestone Cowgirl." Last year we retired the all-time bestselling Native Pony, "War Pony," and in its hoof-steps we are introducing "Guardian at Sunset's Gate," which is equally as powerful. It has become something of an annual tradition to introduce a patriotic Painted Pony each winter, and with that in mind we present the masterful, and musical, "Yankee Doodle."
